What is the application process with polyurethane spray foam insulation?
The typical process for spraying foam insulation in a residential structure is:
1) Cover any doors, windows, fixtures, etc. (anything you do not want foam to get on).
2) Foam is then applied in successive lifts, to the desired thickness.
3) Any overspray or excess foam is trimmed off of the face of the studs and rafters (if applicable).
4) All protective coverings are removed and all excess foam is swept up, bagged, and disposed of offsite.
